With this idea Vivekananda Kendra is running School as part of formal education in remote part of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Maharastra, Tamilnadu, Orissa, Andaman - Nikobar. Apart from this where school infrastructure is not possible, in such area Vivekananda Kendra is running Ananadalaya specially for school - drop out children, children of working people in tea - garden, Industries and coastal areas. Similarly Balwadi is also very important part of education system in Vivekananda Kendra, which is pre - school concept is specially designed for children of rural Area.
BALWADI
Balwadi is very important part of education system in Vivekananda Kendra, which is pre - school concept is specially designed for children of rural Area. It is based on play - way method. Children are provided very meaningful games through that they can easily learn basic concept of Maths, Science and Language. Also carrying out some cultural activities which join child to their roots. Also provide mid-day food which simple but nruticious. There are total 220 Balwadies in Tamilnadu, Arunachal Pradesh and Maharastra.
ANANDALAYA
Vivekananda Kendra running Anandalaya in remote area of Tamilnadu, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharastra, Nagaland and Orissa.
Main objectives are
- To create education supportive atmosphere in interior villages
- To import education through play way method and increase interest for studies among village primary school students.
- To reduce the rate of drop outs and thus improve the status of education
- To give Man Making value-based education and thus improve the quality of education
- To increase patriotic feeling among villagers
- To create health awareness among children and through them among villagers
- To work for the all round development of the village.
Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya
Man-Making education through 64 Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas for tribal and rural children in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland,Assam,Andamans,Tamilnadu and Karnataka for 16000 approximately students and Hostels for Vanavasi children.
